Hundertwasser's comment on the work
This is a funny title. The deception is intentional. I often reproach myself because of equivocal things which can be taken in a good or bad way, and wear "terms of abuse" like badges of honour, e.g., "I am a prettifier" of "Painter of the new world". Kito is a Japanese painter and friend who has also lived and painted with me at La Picaudière. He began a picture, and I tried to continue painting it in Kito style. But it turned into a Hundertwasser, all the same. Moreover, I painted on some pictures which artist friends had thrown away. Because I am reluctant to throw things away, I used them as ground and several times left a part of the picture "underneath" showing, e.g., on pictures by Rainer and Neuffer. There is also a picture with "Kito au Coin" ("Kito in the Corner"). Or I let children scrawl something on my pictures and incorporated that in the composition.
