Hundertwasser's comment on the work
As a reader of Karl May's "Winnetou" as a lad, I was very moved by the tragedy of the Indians, and thoughts and images on this subject come to me spontaneously, in strange mutations, in a way similar to my Dalai Lama pictures. They are not directly confrontational and accusing pictures, but dream pictures transformed in the subconscious. How that happens in waking moments I cannot explain.
