Hundertwasser's comment on the work
This was the beginning of my co-operation and long friendship with René Brô. In Paris we painted two frescoes together in the Castiglione hunting lodge in St. Mandé. As in this drawing, he did the drawing and I filled in all the colours. (from: Cat. Albertina, Vienna, 1974, p. 132)
From then on I no longer travelled on my own, on foot or hitch-hiking, but with Brô, Bernard and Micheline.
