Hundertwasser's comment on the work
An eye-slit house was to be built in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse. The eye-slit house was supposed to protrude into the vineyard, with vines growing on its roof. The house is only recognisable by its eye-slit window. I have the impression that they only wanted to use me as a promotional stunt, as it were, an odd-ball artist who is up to his pranks, that they only brought me in to provide publicity for a vintner family who wanted to attract attention and were not contemplating concrete realisation.
