In the course of the design of MOP Incineration plant and Maishima Sludge Center Hundertwasser was asked by the City of Osaka to change and re-plan the pumping station located in a recreational area. The site was originally planned by the Japanese architects of Nihon Suiko. Because of repeated changes in planning and financing the project was delayed and finally cancelled.
