Hundertwasser's comment on the work
Like meeting Walter Kampmann on a rainy day. When people meet, the surrounding circumsteances often leave a greater impression than the conversation and the person one has beem speaking with. When one travels on a train and looks out the window listening to Beethoven: the same music has a completely different effect than if one is riding over fields or through the city. Image and colour variations yield similarly contrasting effects. (see also 684 and 972) (from: Hundertwasser 1928-2000, Catalogue Raisonné, Vol. 2, Taschen, Cologne, 2002, p. 688)
