"Picture of a Viennese canal lattice. Dirty and covered with waste, it was a starting point for many considerations. The dangerous magic of the regular grid is very impressive. This simple sewer grid feels like the dungeon window of our civilization. Only the irregularity of the dirt that lies on it paradoxically functions like something liberating, freeing us from the material nudity of the straightforward structures of our modern world."
