Hundertwasser's comment on the work

JW 118 to 125 were (like JW 139 to 141) my first totally botched invented compositions not drawn from nature. Wanted to give up becoming a painter. It was not until August 7, 1949, with the "Sunflowers", that I achieved the breakthrough to the world which is not copied from nature.
