Diary 1946: Slept from 5 to 8 A.M. Every day help with bringing in fodder. (Harvest was already over.) Mowing aftermath, spreading it out, etc. 3 days cleaning out thrashing machine. Shoving fodder and hay through a hole in the top floor into horse stable, digging potatoes, gathering fruit, helping with pressing cider. (from: Cat. Albertina, Vienna, 1974, p. 80)
