Hundertwasser's comment on the work

In the café in "my" house at the corner of Löwengasse and Kegelgasse a horrible pseudo-Hundertwasser kitsch had been painted on the wall. I could have let it be, but then, as so often, I started painting on it, improving it, adding gold foil, until it was a real Hundertwasser.(see also ARCH 44/XIII 872)(from: Hundertwasser 1928-2000, Catalogue Raisonné, Vol. 2, Taschen, Cologne, 2002, p. 1228)
