Design for poster and sticker on the occasion of Hundertwasser's activities against Austria's joining of the E. U. Design III was realised. As early as 1988, Hundertwasser noted in an essay that integration in the E. U. was not a good solution for Austria, and that Austria would lose its independence, its autonomy, its neutrality and its credibility as a peace-loving culture nation at the heart of Europe if the country were to join the E. U. During 1993 and 1994 Hundertwasser repeatedly and emphatically spoke out against Austria's joining of the European Union. He expressed his reservations in the manifesto To Join the E. U. Is to Betray Austria and Betray Europe. (see p. 1150)
