Edition of 12, 8 signed and numbered 1-8 by hand, 4 signed and numbered IX-XII by hand
The edition "L'art en soie" with original works on silk by Matta, Hartung, Dewasne, Delvaux, Alechinsky, Agam and Hundertwasser was produced from 1979 to 1981 by Bucol, Lyon. Hundertwasser created his work in cooperation with Hilaire Colcombet. André Parinaud was the publisher. The collection was presented in 1982 at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris; a catalogue accompanied the exhibition.
The "velours au sabre"-technique: with a narrow blade which is called "sabre", one thread is worked on after the other. In doing so, the wrap is cut between its connecting points on the top of the cloth. Through this the flat satin becomes a raised velour in precisely chosen areas.
