The stamp was issued on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the protests against the Hainburg power plant in the Danube floodplains east of Vienna (Stopfenreuther Au). It shows the motif of the poster that Hundertwasser designed in 1984 for the campaign to protect the Danube floodplains against the deforestation of the areas for the construction of a power plant.
